Total God Story

For weeks now we have asked our prayer team to pray for God to identify financial partners and asked you to personally pray for God to lead you in regards to partnering financially with us.

Last week, I received a call from a pastor whom I have been getting to know over the last few months. He believes in the vision and calling God has given us to fulfill. In our conversation, he also went on to encourage me personally and let me know that he and other leaders of the church he pastors believe so strongly in what God is doing in our starting a new faith-based community and church of irresistible love that his church is providing us with a $17,000 matching gift. This means the next $17,000 of individual gifts will be doubled.

If you haven’t already, will you please consider how God is asking you to financially partner in this vision and then respond.

To give a special gift or become a monthly financial partner please click this link to print the respond card and follow the instructions.

If you would like to send an end-of-the-year gift, then you can do so online at –

Thank you for your many prayers and joining us in this journey of faith. Please take a moment to thank God for answering our collective prayers.

Another Encouragement

A friend enters my office and shares the bold decisions she is taking to simplify life by selling her large single home to move into a small apartment. I seldom see people abandon the façade of the American dream to pursue the fullness of life that comes through simplicity. I am extremely proud of my friend and go on to encourage and affirm her courage. She stops me in the middle of my accolades. “Ron, you don’t need to say anything further. Your journey of faith alone encourages and inspires me. Make no mistake at how many others are encouraged by watching the steps of faith you are taking to start a new church of irresistible love that restores people to God and others.” Okay so who is encouraged now? This woman’s faith journey and partnership in the vision which God has called us to inspires me.

As a child I remember standing on the edge of the roof hearing my father say, “Jump! I’ll catch you!” The roof was safe. My father’s arms were safe. Falling between the two felt freaky.

Once again, I am jumping from security and comfort, but this time by resigning my position at a mega-church, giving up a good salary, selling a comfortable home, and moving my family three-and-a-half hours south. I am embracing this faith-based-risk journey in order to meet the physical, financial, relational, emotional, and spiritual needs of others. In this journey, I am discovering my innate propensity toward security and comfort. There is nothing wrong with this desire for the Eden in which I was created. The problem is when I strive to create my own Eden by depending on my personal resources, skills, and worldly wisdom to find a place of security and comfort. In my faith journey, God speaks into the core of my being, “I’ve been waiting for you to release control and live dependent in me. Now I will show you the magnitude of my provision and power as I pour out the resources of heaven. I’ll show you what I’ve got.” Since taking the freaky leap from perceived security and comfort, I am discovering the unfathomed strength and love of my Father as He unfolds the working of miracles in and around my life.

May I always embrace faith-based-risk as a major theme of life to experience and bring God’s presence, security, and comfort to others who have need.

Dear Jesus

Dear Jesus,

This year you have awakened a dream in our hearts that was planted nine years ago. You have lead us from a place of fabricated comfort and security into a journey of risk and faith that is revealing the magnitude of your provision and power as we let go of control and depend on you. A life of adventure that is filled with the wonder of your glory and is inspiring others’ faith in you. As the dream has awakened, you have given us new vision and affirmed our calling to your vision. We have stepped more fully into the freedom of your kingdom. A kingdom you desire for us to bring to others that they too may be set free. As the Bible states in the book of Galatians in chapter 5, verse 1, “It is for freedom that Christ has set you free.”

We were able to help bring this freedom to others by supporting two Compassion children, partnering with Bill Allison and Cadre Ministries, giving to Calvary Churches benevolent ministry, sponsoring students on missions trips throughout the US, Nepal, Ecuador and England, ministering to several hundred students, parents, and leaders through our ministry at Calvary Church, and personally discipling many people in faith, life, and ministry.

In this journey, you gave Ron the opportunity to baptize Bryant Nix, empower 55 small group leaders to pastoral ministry, and disciple multiple students and adults while enjoying the adventure of your playground in rock climbing, mountain biking, and skiing.

We have seen Karena grow in her love for dancing which as her skill grows is becoming more a reflection of the beauty and grace that you have given her to offer others. We have also seen you grow her compassion for people in need and ask that you fulfill her desires to give food to the poor, clothes to children without clothes, and to build homes for people that don’t have a home. Use the vision you have given us to to fulfill the desires you have given her while growing her passion to see people restored in life and relationships.

We have seen Ryan’s sensitive heart grow in his obedience to us and to you. Continue to reveal his life passions that we may appropriately parent him in the way he should go.

We are in awe of Noell’s energy and passion for life and adventure. A young girl who takes risks and seems to live fearless. In this next year, give us wisdom in focusing this energy to obedience and a love for God and others.

In all of this, you have deepened Stefani’s relationships, freed her from her job, and expanded her expertise as a mother, wife, lover, friend, teacher, nurse, counselor, financial manager, and parent.

Together, we have grown in our love for each other and you while sharing greater spiritual and emotional intimacy through conversation, physical activity, and spiritual discipline. Together, we are grateful for the family you have given us (Parents, brothers, sisters and their children). We recognize that the relationships we share with them are a reflection of heaven on earth. The reflection of the life you have designed us for where relationships are healthy, grace is extended, support is offered, and acceptance is granted regardless of our strengths or areas of needed growth and maturity. We are humbled by our families financial support, prayerful partnership, and wise counsel as we venture in a new journey of faith. We are also humbled by the many friends and acquaintances who have partnered with us in the vision God has called us to us to. As my pre-Christian neighbor said, “You live in a Utopian community”. This is true, it is community of real believers who long to live Jesus’ mission here on earth by meeting the needs of others in tangible ways while sharing with them the hope of life that Jesus offers for today and eternity – the presence of heaven on earth.

Your children,

Ron, Stefani, Karena, Ryan, and Noell

Being Blessed

Have you ever had one of those moments, when someone blesses you so deeply, that words can’t describe how you feel as as a result of what the person did or said? Today I experienced one of these moments, but instead of trying to share how I feel. I’ll tell you the story, perhaps you will feel a little of the blessing too.

Today I received an email from a friend on our prayer team who is well connected and involved in the Catholic Diocese. He wrote this email to the Knights of Columbus with whom he has relationship.

I would like it (the vision God has call us to of starting a faith-based community and new church of irresistible love) to be a Knights of Columbus agenda item that I would support and speak on. My friend Ron, is a neighbor of mine for over 4 years and has been working for one of the largest churches in our area – Cavalry Church on Route 152 and 113 in Souderton, Pa. He and his wife and three children are a ray of sunshine whenever anyone meets them and they share their love for God and his People. I will not be sending Christmas cards this year to anyone and I will make a small contribution to them in the place of cards and Christmas greetings. Any further questions please feel free to call or email me as I totally support Ron, his family and his dream and project.

I was almost in tears as I read his email and witnessed his faith in action on our behalf and for the vision God has called us to in meeting the very real physical, emotional, financial, relational, social, and spiritual needs of people in tangible ways.
